A Mojo Kind of Day

Hello Everyone!

Well its a Mojo kind of day for me today.  I’ve been noodling the Mojo sketch since yesterday and finally got a chance to see my visions realized.  This week the sketchers over at MojoMonday came up with a circle version and a square version of their sketch, so, I of course had to do both.  First the circle version:

This card uses the Caboodle Level 2 paper pack, Sweet Leaf Cardstock , Colonial White Cardstock, Flower Child Stamp set, Black Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad and colored pencils, all from Close to my Heart.

For the square version of the sketch, something inside of me just screamed LAYOUT!!!!  So instead of a card I turned the square sketch into a scrapbook layout of my kids in the bathtub.  Y’know one of those pages that will be brought out in 15 years as they’re getting ready to go out on a big date!

Aren’t they cute?!?!

This layout uses Cardstock in Lilac Mist, Cocoa and White Daisy from Close to my Heart, Patterned Paper from the So Tweet Collection by pebblesinc., liquid glass from Close to my Heart, Chocolate Exclusive Inks Stamp Pad and Cocoa Exclusive Inks Marker from Close to my Heart, New Arrival Cricut Cartridge and the Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen by Sakura.

Hope you’ve enjoyed my projects today, I’d love to hear what you think!  Have a great Memory-Filled Day!

Pile It On Challenge x2

Either my kids have been really good at entertaining themselves this weekend or I’ve been doing a really good job of hiding from them because I was able to do not one but two cards for several challenges this week.  The first card is for the Pile It On Challenge.  In addition to the Pile It On Challenge of Animal-Rific, it also incorporates the following challenges: Fun with Shapes and More-Faux Stitching, S2G-buttons, and Card Patterns-Sketch.

The supplies used for this card are: Cardstock (CTMH) Colonial White, Heavenly Blue, Ocean and Brown Bag, Ribbon (RibbonFX), Buttons (American Crafts) Glitter Buttons Baby Girl, Marker (Bic Mark-it) Woodsy Brown, Stamps (TAC) Bountiful Bears, Other-Prismacolor Pencils, Baby Oil, Punch (Fiskars)

I guess I was really inspired by this card because I decided to do another one. The second card doesn’t fit in with the Pile It On Challenge but it does fit the other three challenges.

The supplies for this card are: Cardstock (CTMH) Colonial White, Juniper, Brown Bag, Patterned Paper (CTMH) Unforgettable B&T, Ribbon (CTMH) Cocoa, Stamps (CTMH) Kanji Phrases, Marker (Bic Mark-it) Woodsy Brown, Jewel Brads (American Crafts), Rhinestones (unknown).

Until next time, have a great memory-filled day!

Mojo 131

Here is the card I did for   this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch.  I know its Wednesday, but for whatever reason (actually probably two reasons age 3 and 11 months) whenever I am able to complete the sketch, its never on Monday, good thing they leave it up for a whole week, huh?

I turned the sketch vertical (you can see the original here).  The supplies I used are: Patterned Paper and Tag-More Mimi SWIC (The Angel Company), Cardstock-Mimi (The Angel Company), Stamps-Fringed Phrases (Close to my Heart)  Bountiful Bears (The Angel Company), Inks-Coal Black (Ancient Page) Cocoa (Close to my Heart), Ribbon-Cocoa(Close to my Heart), Other-PrismaColor Colored pencils and Baby Oil.

How cool is it that I won the paper and the stamps in a drawing that The Angel Company had on their website?  I love the way this turned out, and when I get the stuff for free, that makes it even better!

Have a great memory-filled day!

Have a great day!  See you next time!

Today was the SuperBowl, but did I watch the game?  No, of course not, why would I want to watch football?  Its not because I think its a barbaric sport and its not because I don’t understand the game.  Why would I be watching football when there are stamps and paper to play with?  My original plan for this evening was to get together with some friends of ours, the guys would watch football, the girls would scrapbook and the kids would play.  That plan fell through because our baby girl was running a fever and we didn’t want to risk getting anyone else sick.  So instead, I sat at my craft table and made cards while my husband watched the game and snuggled with the sick baby.  As I was blog surfing today I came across a couple of challenge blogs that I had not visited before and those are the sources of inspiration for the cards I have made.  The first sketch is from Just Add Ink.

Supplies Used (all from CTMH unless otherwise noted):

Stamps: Just Be You (from You Rock workshop on the go); Inks: Indian Corn Blue, Honey, White Daisy; Cardstock: Outdoor Denim, Indian Corn Blue, White Daisy; Paper: You Rock B&T; Other: You Rock Top Coats, Rhinestones (Manuf. unknown).

The second sketch is from the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

Supplies Used (all from CTMH unless otherwise noted):

Stamps: Be Yourself; Inks: Black, Cranberry, Bamboo; Cardstock: Black, Cranberry; Paper: Silouette B&T; Ribbon: Designer Ribbon Rounds Black Collection; Just Blooms Flower; Rhinestones (KaiserCraft)
